The Liberator of Sistina is the fourteenth episode of the Record of Grancrest War anime series.

Synopsis

The rumor that Theo robbed the third Rossini's third son Salvador spread to Sistina in a matter of time. A riot occurs in various places, people come together under Theo to join the uprising. Phederico, whose son was killed, instructs his eldest son Salvador to collect five thousand soldiers in order to take Theo's life. Dauni army approaching with anger revealed. And the assassin Boltz, Black Witch Yana crept up to take Theo's life.

Long Summary

News of uprisings around Sistina reaches the Rossini Family after the 2nd son Salvador was killed in battle. New allies of Theo's cause have now started to assemble in Marza so Doni proclaims he'll crush Theo and avenge Salvador. The youngest brother Juzel admonishes that notion and Phederico the father concurs. He advises that his son gather an army of 5 thousand to deal with the opposing forces. Although he initially is against the proposal, Doni concedes as it's his father's earnest wish to not allow him to be a father that has lost 2 sons. With Doni out of the picture, Juzel questions their family ruling until that point, but Phederico claims that is a premature question. The Rossini family has ruled over with fear and submission for years and if they rescind that now, it would mean the collapse of the entire family.

At a charred forest, Yana and Boltz talk about Salvador and then about how Boltz will fulfill his mission of killing Theo and Irvin. Upon learning that they are twin werewolves among the group, this elates Yana. She then proposes to help Boltz by distracting the two werewolves from helping his target in his battle against him. In return for this favor, Yana wants Boltz to kill Theo and Siluca.

Meanwhile at Marza, Aishela trains the villagers there to defend themselves against the Rossini forces as Theo observes. Theo mentions to Siluca that he's impressed by the morale and determination of the villagers. Furthermore, he one day hopes to build a small castle in the village and rule over it. Siluca agrees with the notion and just then, Irvin informs them of Doni Rossini's forces have made their move to the village. To prevent the village from becoming a battlefield, Theo's forces will counter Dorni's.

Later that day, Theo's army confronts Dorni's, and once Irvin and the twins learn of Boltz and Yana's presence. They excuse themselves in order to deal with them. Before the start of the battle, Theo gives the army a speech and then activates his Crest's power to bestow upon his army. In turn, Dorni does the same with his army and the battle begins. In the charred forest, Irvin and Boltz finish their rematch with each other. This time around, Boltz uses poison daggers against his opponent, compliments from Yana. On Yana's side, she summons a demon to deal with Luna and Emma. The twins try to attack the demon, but it surrounded itself with an impervious barrier. The demon then casts a flaming pentagram around the twins. All while, Yana watches it all from a safe distance.

Amid the battle, Theo confronts Dorni and slays his horse. The two then fight on equal footing. Back to Irvin vs Boltz, it's noted that Irvin has been coating his blade with the poison on Boltz's dagger every time he deflected the assassin's blade. The fight between them then continues and although Irvin manages to kill Boltz, the assassin still managest to strike him twice with one of his poison blades. Trapped in flames of darkness, Yana taunts the twins who still claim they'll have their vengeance. After a brief contemplation, the twins transform into their wolf forms and jump onto the Demon's barrier. They then use the height from the barrier to attack Yana slashing her back. Nevertheless, Yana still gets away, and the demon disappears.

Aishela, Siluca, and the village army someone manages to gain the upper hand on the Rossini family army causing them to flee. Dorni orders his men to stay and fight, but as he does, Theo overpowers him. Before Theo could finish Dorni off two officers of Dorni's army come to his rescue. Their attempt, however, was foiled as Theo kills them both. Dorni then gives off an audacious war cry. Luna and Emma both check on the unconscious Irvin as the poison takes hold of him. Fretting over that they'll lose him, Priscilla arrives on the scene claiming it is not his time and heals him. Elsewhere, Yana grovels on her side as he backside bleeds from the claw marks left by Luna's attack curses Theo and Siluca.

The fight between Theo and Dorni continues and Theo kills Dorni after he unarms him. Siluca then approaches Theo who requests that she bury Dorni like the others and to call on the Rossini forces to surrender. Just then Yana riding her broomstick while chanting a spell tries to cast a meteor spell aimed at Theo and Siluca. In a counterattack, Siluca cast a similar spell and negates Yana's spell causing her to fall and tumble to the ground. Siluca then has Aishela capture Yana, to which, she agrees to do.

That afternoon at the Rossini Family mansion, Theo and his army march to the front door of the place and are greeted by Juzel. He introduces himself to Theo and his army and hopes to negotiate with him. Apprehensive to the gall Juzel has to want to negotiate, Theo is reassured that it's to avoid further bloodshed. The demands that Juzel gives are they wish their lives and fortunes be spared. However, Theo's demands contrast those, furthermore, he demands the Rossini Family Crest. Although fine with the demands, Juzel raises the concern that those still loyal to the Rossini Family will still be recalcitrant. To appease the loyalists, Juzel offers his allegiance to Theo's cause and help him as an advisor. In the end, Theo agrees to the demands and the war officially ends.
